Microsoft working on reinventing business models

As is publicly known Microsoft works on what seems to be the
mix of game console and Google's advertising business models. They are
working hard to end building a full structured IT
infrastructure able to be
automatically managed. This is how a winning SaaS strategy should be made.
Are FLOSS world ready for this?
